Horned Lizard
In an effort to reconstruct the physical features of the common ancestor of the 13 species
of North American horned lizards, biologist Wendy Hodges at UC Riverside and visualization
expert Reuben Reyes at NPACI partner Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at the University
of Texas at Austin applied advanced computer analysis and visualization software to three-dimensional
data sets acquired through computed tomography.
